We are seeking a skilled Medical Lab Scientist to join our team in Indianapolis, IN, at a leading healthcare facility. This is a contract position that requires flexibility and a commitment to quality patient care.
The Medical Lab Scientist will be required to float between various locations, including Methodist, University, and Riley. Please note that training and orientation will take place on day shift for the first two weeks before transitioning to the contracted night shift.
First-time travelers are welcome! Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and one holiday if it falls within the contract period.
Certification Requirements: ASCP-MLS required; ASCP-BB preferred. MLTs will not be considered.
Skillset Requirements: Proficiency in specimen processing, ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, Antibody Typing: Tub Method, Crossmatch-Immediate Spin/IgG, Electronic Crossmatch, and Indirect Coombs Test.
Unit Information: The Blood Bank performs routine and specialized compatibility testing, as well as the preparation of blood components for transfusion. Our Blood Bank lab supports the transfusion needs of various specialty services for both pediatric and adult patients.
Shift Information: Night 4x10-Hour (21:00 - 07:30)
