Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the Emergency Department (ER) in Hickory, NC. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while enhancing your skills in critical care.

Position Information:

• Facility Department: Respiratory Therapy
• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: Possible

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NC RRT License (Registry required)

Experience: 2 years preferred in ED or Critical Care

Unit Information:

• Patient Ratios: Undetermined
• Equipment: Ventilators (Servo-I, Drager Evita 500, PB 840, Hamilton T-1 & MR-1), Bipaps (V-60), ResMed CPAPs, High flow (Optiflow), MetaNebs, Vest, Siemens RapidPoint 500e Blood Gas analyzers
• EHR: Cerner
• Patient Population: All

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: 2 years preferred, ED, Critical Care
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: 2 years preferred, ED, Critical Care, Nursery
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Full range
• Personality Fit: High retention in department, must be willing to work in a team environment, must be able to also function independently
• Required Education: Minimum Associate Degree in Respiratory Care

• Scrub Color: Gray/Black preferred, any solid color will work, NO prints
• Any unacceptable attire: Debatable
