Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Clarkston, WA. This is a contract position for a dedicated RN with experience in all areas and a willingness to flex in departments as needed. An active Washington state nursing license is required.

As an RN in the PCU, you will:

• Identify patient and significant others' needs for education and provide appropriate education using various modalities.
• Ensure patient safety through preventative measures, including the use of side rails, restraints, and safe equipment operation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation of all equipment in the PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurg areas.
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures, maintaining proper documentation.
• Utilize standard precautions at all times.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and responses during your shift.
• Accurately document charges and complete physician orders in a timely manner.
• Provide a thorough change of shift report to oncoming staff.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and report critical lab values to physicians promptly.
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, rooms, and general supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
