Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Step Down Unit, located in Morgantown, WV. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing high-quality care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to higher acuity neuroscience patients, including those with EVDs, strokes, and seizures.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, adhering to protocols and physician orders for titration of drips.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in unit orientation and training for new staff members.

Requirements:

• Active RN license with a history of strong neuro experience.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience caring for stroke patients and implementing NIH protocols.
• EPIC experience is required.
• Ability to work nights, including weekends and holidays as needed.

This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with potential for floating to other units as needed. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 in the Step Down Unit, ensuring a supportive environment for both staff and patients.
