Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA, where you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to mothers and their newborns. We are seeking experienced RNs with a passion for maternal health and the ability to thrive in high-risk, high-volume environments.

As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for:

• Providing care to midwifery clients and private OBs, including adult recovery services supporting substance recovery.
• Utilizing electronic fetal monitoring and adhering to AWHONN guidelines for staffing.
• Functioning in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continuing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
• Performing newborn care, including administering vitamin K injections and conducting assessments.

Key qualifications include:

• 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery with high-risk exposure.
• Ability to float to postpartum and antepartum units, as well as sister facilities that provide mother/baby care.
• Certifications: Required - BLS, NRP; Preferred - ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.

The facility operates with an average daily census of 15 patients and handles 500-600 deliveries per month across 31 beds. The schedule is posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs, with a requirement to work every other weekend and holidays as necessary.
