Join a leading healthcare provider as a PCU Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down setting. As a valued member of the healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients with cardiac conditions, including myocardial infarction, pre/post open-heart surgery, and vascular surgery.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including blood and blood products, and manage chest tubes and sternal precautions.
• Perform telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Utilize Epic for patient documentation and management.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Must have 2 years of surgical telemetry experience, including open heart surgery and vascular management.
• Experience with VAD, TAVR, and chest tube management is preferred.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Epic experience is a hard stop requirement.
• Must be flexible to float to like units and work every other weekend.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, with the possibility of 5 patients at midnight. This position requires strong IV skills and the ability to manage complex patient needs, including pre/post cath lab interventions and stroke patients with cardiac involvement.
