We are seeking a dedicated PCU Registered Nurse to join our team in Olympia, WA. This is a contract position in a leading acute-care hospital, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down setting.

The PCU/Step Down Float RN will work 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. The patient population can include anything from ER boarded patients to tele and med-surg cases. As part of our team, you will float to fill the needs within the institution, adapting to various units as required. The nurse-to-patient ratio varies from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on unit acuity.

To qualify for this role, clinicians must have experience in the US; Canadian experience alone will not qualify. Charge nurse experience is a requirement, as you may have some charge responsibilities on smaller units, typically staffed with just 1-2 RNs supported by LPNs and CNAs. In those instances, the sole RN will function as the Charge Nurse, managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general coordination.

Join us in making a difference in patient care while advancing your career in a supportive environment. We look forward to welcoming you to our team!

GLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Olympia, WA

About

As Washington State's capital city, Olympia offers an ideal mix of cultural and natural attractions. Its unique downtown waterfront offers diverse shopping and dining venues, with Percival Landing Park at its heart. The Park provides some of the best views of the Olympic Mountains, the marina, the Capitol building and the area's abundant wildlife. Watch for sea otters, seals, bald eagles and even the occasional pod of orca whales as part of the area’s natural splendor. It also serves as a hub for special events and public celebrations like the annual Olympic Harbor Day Festival held over Labor Day Weekend, one of the largest maritime festivals in the state. Paddleboarding, sailing, boating and fishing for salmon or sea-run cutthroat trout are all popular pursuits. Visitors and residents often gather at the year-round Olympia Farmers Market for live music and browsing handcrafted items, baked goods, fresh local produce and shellfish like oysters and clams.
