We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PCU Registered Nurse to join our team at a leading acute-care hospital in Olympia, WA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, floating between various units to meet patient care needs.

The PCU Registered Nurse will care for a diverse patient population, including those from ER boarded patients, telemetry, and medical-surgical units. The nurse-to-patient ratio varies from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on unit acuity. Candidates must have experience in the US healthcare system, as Canadian experience alone will not qualify.

In this role, the clinician may have charge responsibilities on smaller units, which typically have only 1-2 RNs supported by LPNs and CNAs. While this does not equate to leading a full-sized unit, it includes essential charge duties such as managing staffing needs, bed flow, and overall coordination. Charge nurse experience is a requirement for this position.

Hospital Highlights: Short Term Acute Care facility with a total of 325 staffed beds. The charting system used is EPIC.

If you are a qualified PCU Registered Nurse looking to make a difference in patient care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

GLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Olympia, WA

About

As Washington State's capital city, Olympia offers an ideal mix of cultural and natural attractions. Its unique downtown waterfront offers diverse shopping and dining venues, with Percival Landing Park at its heart. The Park provides some of the best views of the Olympic Mountains, the marina, the Capitol building and the area's abundant wildlife. Watch for sea otters, seals, bald eagles and even the occasional pod of orca whales as part of the area’s natural splendor. It also serves as a hub for special events and public celebrations like the annual Olympic Harbor Day Festival held over Labor Day Weekend, one of the largest maritime festivals in the state. Paddleboarding, sailing, boating and fishing for salmon or sea-run cutthroat trout are all popular pursuits. Visitors and residents often gather at the year-round Olympia Farmers Market for live music and browsing handcrafted items, baked goods, fresh local produce and shellfish like oysters and clams.
