Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse in Overland Park, KS. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, focusing on cardiac care. As a Cath Lab RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients undergoing various cardiac procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, interventional catheterizations, and electrophysiology.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as required.
- Perform procedures such as IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and stent placement.
- Assist in the management of patients with devices such as pacemakers and perform tilt table studies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection prevention measures.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required, including weeknight and weekend shifts.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cath Lab setting.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH.
- Skills in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- Ability to float between departments and units as needed.
- Must be available for on-call shifts and weekend rotations.
- Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
