Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a busy surgical floor within a progressive care unit, caring for both PCU and Med-Surg patients. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nurses in their professional growth.

The PCU is a mixed acuity unit that handles a variety of patient diagnoses, including:

Surgical Oncology: breast, thyroid, melanoma
Hepatobiliary: liver, pancreas, spleen, biliary tract cancers, neuroendocrine
Colorectal: colon, rectal cancer
Plastics: reconstructive breast cancer or sarcoma

As a PCU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

Administering chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and managing oncologic emergencies.
Monitoring patients with insulin and heparin drips.
Implementing infection prevention protocols and fall prevention strategies.

To qualify for this role, you must have:

Overall 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU experience.
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Preferred certification: ONS Chemo.

Staffing ratios are ideally 1:4 but can be 1:5 based on unit needs. All travelers may be required to float within their scope of practice. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
