Join a leading acute-care hospital in Los Angeles, CA, as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN). This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing care to mothers and newborns.

Minimum 2 years experience required. Accepts 1st time travelers! EPIC REQUIRED. This position requires 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday). If working 4 shifts per week, no on-call is required. If working 3 shifts, 1 on-call per 2 weeks is necessary.

Hard Requirement: Recent experience performing sterile vaginal exams and managing high-risk patients, knowledge of the CMQCC Category II algorithm, and advanced fetal monitoring experience.

Unit Details: 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU & Post-Partum. 24 OB hospitalists & OB anesthesia. The unit serves a low and high-risk L&D patient population, including neonates, adolescents, and adults.

Required Skills:

• Use of External Fetal Monitoring
• Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Circulate for C-section

Unit Systems: SBAR, Omnicell, eMD Allscripts.

Required Certifications:

• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Advanced RTO must be on the submittal.

Please note: Once RTO is submitted, this cannot be changed unless it's to cancel time requested. Ensure that you have confirmed all dates needed off for the full 13-week contract. No more than 3 days RTO max. Must work most holidays.
