We are seeking a dedicated Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. This contract position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Step Down RN, you will play a crucial role in the recovery of patients transitioning from intensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Step Down unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC charting.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• Epic experience is required.
• Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed for department needs.
