Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neurocritical Intensive Care Unit (ICU Neuro) in Morgantown, WV. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with critically ill patients. We are looking for skilled RNs who are dedicated to providing high-quality care and are eager to make a difference in the lives of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neurocritical Care Unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Titrate drips and manage critical care equipment, including vents, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of West Virginia.
• ICU experience and critical care skills are required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory for NCCU, MICU, and SICU.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (fully vaccinated means either 2 shots of Moderna or Pfizer or 1 shot of J&J).

Additional Information:

• 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM) with a weekend and holiday commitment.
• Patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1 in the Neurocritical Care Unit.
• Intensivist available during the day, on-call at night with 24/7 APP coverage.
• Free charge nurse available, not included in staffing.
• Monitor Techs available; RNs will read strips from another floor.
