Join a leading healthcare facility as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Med Surg) in Baton Rouge, LA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. As a Med Surg RN, you will play a critical role in managing patient needs and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Please ensure that you are aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team," where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position with the facility, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur. You should not apply for a role at the facility if you are not comfortable with the above.

Holiday Availability: Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Although Halloween is not a paid holiday, some units may require traveler coverage. Holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation.

Average Daily Census: 39 Beds: 40 Ratio: 1:5 DAYS & 1:6 NIGHTS Float: To sister Med/Tele unit. Weekends: Every other (13 Sat or Sun shifts per 13-week contract).

Certifications Required: BLS. 1 Year experience required. Epic experience required. The unit will accept 1st time travelers. Scrub color: Royal blue.
