Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the ICU department, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. This contract position in Florence, AL, offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while gaining valuable experience in critical care.

Position Information:

• Specialty: Critical Care/Intensive Care
• Shift: 7P-7A
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Years of Experience: 2 years (5 years preferred)

Float Requirements: Critical Care Unit, CVICU overflow, Critical Care Step-Down, Med-Surg

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: CCU- 22, CVICU- 14 (varies depending on surgeries/ICU overflow), CCSD- 31
• Patient Ratios: CCU- 1:2, 1:3; CVICU- 1:2, 1:3; CCSD- 1:4, 1:5; Med-surg- 1:6
• Equipment: SpaceLabs bedside monitoring, Baxter/Spectrum IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, Hill-Rom critical care beds, Ventilators, Prismaflex CRRT machines, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, and more.
• EHR: Meditech

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Efficient time management, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, proficiency in nursing skills such as IV starts, blood draws, ECG rhythm interpretation, management of ventilators, and effective communication with patients & families.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in a teaching hospital, high-acuity ICU, SICU, MICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, and PCU/Med-surg.
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Respiratory Failure, strokes, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI Bleeds, CABGs, and more.
• Personality Fit: Excellent communication skills, works well with others, and can function in critical situations.
• Required Education: Completion of all online learning Lifetalent assignments including NIHSS, ACLS/BLS, and Moderate Sedation/Analgesia certifications.

Dress Code: Scrub Color: Royal Blue. T-shirts/Sweatshirts/Vests are allowed if neutral colored and solid or have a logo.
