Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Telemetry unit, specializing in Stroke/Med/Surg/Tele. This is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated nursing professionals looking to make a significant impact in patient care. The position is full-time, offering a 12-hour night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a contract duration of 13 weeks.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 24
- Staffing: 7 Full Time day shift RNs, 1 PRN Day Shift RN, 1 Full Time Day shift LVN, 1 Part Time Day shift LVN, 4 Full time day shift PCTs, 4 Full Time Night shift PCTs, 1 PRN PCT, 2 Core Full Time night shift RNs, 3 agency night shift RNs
- Patient Ratios: 7 patients to 1 nurse
- Type of Equipment: Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, ultrasound guided machine, glucometers, Welch Allyn vital signs machine, blood warmer, otoscope, virtual sitter cameras (CareAi), new beds, Responder 5 tracking system, computer in each patient room, computer on wheels
- EMR: Meditech
Typical Hiring Profile:
- Must Have: IV skills, wound care, neuro assessment skills, stroke & medical surgical skillset/experience
- Preferred: Charge nurse or Resource Nurse experience
Typical Procedures Performed:
- Cerebral Angiogram
- Left Heart Catheterization
- Peg Tube Placement
- Endoscopy/Colonoscopy procedures
- Bronchoscopy
- Central Line Insertion
- Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
- Urologic procedures
Best Personality Fit: Driven, motivated, encouraging, family-oriented, friendly.
Required Certifications:
- NIH Certification
- BLS
- ACLS
Floating Areas: Medical departments
Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Royal Blue, White Lab Coat
Unit Guidelines/Policies: Must have NIH Certification, BLS, and ACLS as guidelines. Required to work every other weekend and on-call as needed.
