Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the ICU department. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing critical care to patients in need. Unit Overview: The ICU unit features 10 beds and a dedicated staff of 30, ensuring high-quality patient care. The patient ratios are 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity, allowing for personalized attention. The unit is equipped with advanced technology, including External Ventricular Draining Devices (EVD), and will soon implement Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and ECMO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care to patients, including EVD management and monitoring, hypothermia treatment, and ventilator management.
• Administer vasoactive drugs and interpret ABGs.
• Complete NIH Stroke Scale assessments.
• Assist with immediate post-open heart care and hemodynamic monitoring.

Qualifications:

• Must Have: 3 years of critical care experience (excluding travel assignments).
• EVD management and monitoring, ventilator management, and experience with vasoactive drugs.
• Completion of NIH Stroke Scale.
• Experience with CRRT is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Line placement and intubation experience.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Dress Code: Scrub color is variable; no visible piercings and tattoos should be covered.
