Position: Staff Nurse, RN - Registered Nurse

Locations:
Elmhurst, IL (Elmhurst Hospital)

Details of the Role: Pulmonary Unit | 31 beds, adult pulmonary and general med/surg

• Participate in pulmonary rehabilitation programs with patients to help them learn how to manage their condition or symptoms
• Record patients’ vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure at regular intervals throughout the day
• Perform diagnostic tests such as X-rays, cultures, sputum analysis, and lung function tests to diagnose a patient’s condition
• Determine the proper course of treatment for patients with chronic pulmonary conditions such as asthma, emphysema, bronchitis, and pneumonia
• Prepare and administering medications, including inhalers and nebulizers, to patients with breathing problems
• Educate patients on how to recognize when they need medical attention and how to manage their condition at home
• Record patient information in medical records and physician’s charts, such as weight, height, pulse rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels

Hours – full-time, day shift (7a-7p)
**Every/Other weekend or Every 3rd weekend required
**NO PRN Opportunities available at this time
Pay Range - $37 - $57/hour (increases based on experience)

Qualifications:
• Illinois RN License
• BLS Certification (other certs may be required upon being hired)
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• 1 of hospital/medical surgical experience required
