Key Qualifications (ER Nurse Requirements)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ED/ER) nursing experience required
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN License accepted
- Diploma of Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
- Experience with high-acuity adult cardiac and internal medicine patients preferred
- Ability to provide age- and culturally-specific patient care and education
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional growth and evidence-based practice
Responsibilities (Emergency Department RN)
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals and groups in the Emergency Department
- Use critical thinking to manage high-acuity and trauma patient populations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency physicians, trauma surgeons, and allied health staff
- Perform age-specific and culturally competent interventions and patient education
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ANA code of ethics and hospital policies
- Adapt to change in a fast-paced ER environment and contribute to continuous quality improvement
