• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370 - $2,500
• Call: Rotation required

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Massachusetts RN license
• At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• CNOR strongly preferred
• ACLS required upon hire, or active BLS with AHA ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience in perioperative nursing, surgical services, or acute care nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical experience
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and other healthcare team members
• Maintain sterile technique and support the preparation and handling of supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Verify patient identity, consent, procedure, and surgical site before transport to the OR
• Assist with patient positioning, transfer, and body mechanics to promote safety and comfort
• Monitor sponge, needle, and instrument counts and follow established perioperative procedures
• Safely administer medications and IV therapy in accordance with orders, policies, and protocols
• Document care thoroughly and communicate clearly to support continuity of care
• Promote a respectful, patient-centered environment focused on dignity, safety, and teamwork
