Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Shift: Night Shift – 3 × 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Start Date: ASAP
Required Experience: 1 year
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Postpartum Experience: Preferred

Job Requirements

Experience caring for labor and delivery patients, including high-risk obstetric cases.
Experience circulating during cesarean sections.
Ability to provide care to a culturally diverse patient population.
Weekend availability required based on staffing needs.
Floating required to meet facility needs; travelers are the first to float within their scope of practice.
California RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted.
Requested time off (RTO): No more than 7 days.

Clinical Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and identify potential complications.
Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate during cesarean sections.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments while monitoring maternal and fetal responses.
Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.

Med Ninjas Job ID #21028. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
