Description

Job Summary (Radiation Therapy Tech)

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (8-hour shift; may vary based on department needs)
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
- Floating: Required to float to all other Radiation Oncology locations as needed
- Specialty Area: Cancer Services/Oncology (Radiation Therapy)
- Certifications & Licenses Required:
- NYS Radiologic Technologists Therapy License
- ARRT (T) Certification
- BLS Certification

- Essential Skills:
- Adult Acute Care in Oncology
- Custom Molds and Shields (creation and utilization)
- Tumor Localization, Block Cutting, Portal Cast, Wedges
- B-Mode Acquisition Targeting, CBCT/kV/mV Imaging
- Compensation Filters
- Radiation Dose Calculation
- External Beam Therapy, IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy)
- Use of Lift/Transfer Devices, PPE/Isolation Precautions, Radiation Safety Protocols
- Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system

Med Ninjas Job ID #22107. Pay package is based on 9 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
