Description
Provides professional nursing care to a designated group of patients during assigned shifts.
Utilizes nursing process, current trends, and technology to deliver patient-centered care.
Assumes accountability for patient outcomes and utilizes resources efficiently (financial and human resources).
Adheres to the institution’s philosophy and standards in all aspects of patient care.
Maintains accurate and current documentation for continuity of care.
Performs initial patient assessments and develops individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.
Implements and modifies care plans, nursing interventions, and procedures as needed.
Ensures patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards and incidents.
Collaborates and communicates effectively with healthcare team members to resolve issues and enhance patient care.
Provides constructive feedback to peers and participates in professional development.
Identifies personal learning needs and seeks opportunities for ongoing education.
Meets all departmental competency requirements.
