Job Summary (List Format):

- Provides independent, competent nursing care in a clinical setting, handling both routine and complex patient needs.
- Demonstrates awareness and management of all relevant aspects of patient care situations.
- Develops and works toward long-range patient care goals and plans.
- Continues to enhance ability to manage contingencies in clinical nursing situations.
- Assigns and delegates tasks to other care providers as appropriate to manage clinical scenarios.
- Meets OneCHRISTUS Competencies for self-leadership, team leadership, or leadership of leaders.
- Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients.
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, and monitors for effectiveness and side effects.
- Accurately documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
- Works every other weekend as part of the regular schedule (7AM – 7PM, full time).
- Must hold an RN license in Texas or compact state, and current BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and TNCC certifications.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; one year of related nursing experience preferred.
