Job Summary (List Format): Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Laboratory Scientist

- Performs specimen processing, laboratory testing, and reporting of results in compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Ensures quality patient care by accurately conducting tests in laboratory sub-specialties including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, microbiology, and clinical microscopy.
- Works in a hospital-based laboratory providing 24-hour coverage; must be able to rotate through day, evening, night shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
- Maintains accurate records, follows established protocols, and adheres to all safety and quality control procedures.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers to deliver timely and reliable laboratory results.
- Participates in continuing education and maintains active certification status as required by certifying bodies.
- May train or assist less experienced personnel and students in laboratory procedures.
