• Preferred: Previous experience managing IEPs and working with diverse exceptional learners preferred.

• Requirements: Active Washington State teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain one through OSPI) required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and adapt curriculum to meet the unique learning needs of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

• Monitor, document, and evaluate student academic and behavioral progress toward established IEP goals.

• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, parents, and administrative staff to ensure cohesive student support.

• Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

• Provide a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that fosters academic growth and social-emotional development.
