Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: December 14, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts every 4 weeks, every other weekend (Friday & Saturday)

Highlights:

• 13-26 week assignment available in a specialized progressive care unit
• Rotating schedule: 4 weeks of consistent shifts (days or nights), then alternates to opposite shift
• Patient population includes oncology diagnoses, post-surgical patients, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, and general medical conditions
• 4-5 patient ratio with strong interdisciplinary support
• Specialized corrections unit requiring security clearance for access
• First-time travelers welcome with 1 year of experience (subject to manager review)

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or telemetry experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous telemetry experience with strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of application
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Willingness to float within the facility system as needed
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
