Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room RN (CVOR) – Ohio

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends and holidays on a 24/7 staffing basis. No call required. Flexible scheduling without block assignments.

Highlights:

• Work in a Level I Trauma facility specializing in advanced cardiac, vascular, and transplant procedures
• Comprehensive case mix including CABG, valve replacements, aortic aneurysm repairs, heart/lung transplants, TAVR, TEVAR, EVAR, and endovascular interventions
• 7-bed specialty cardiovascular operating room with hybrid OR capabilities and advanced surgical technologies including Da Vinci robotic systems
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Scrub role supporting overnight surgical team in a high-acuity cardiac and vascular setting
• Work with patient populations including adults and geriatrics requiring complex cardiovascular interventions

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of overall OR experience required
• At least 2 years of dedicated cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR scrub experience (scrubbing cardiac and vascular cases is mandatory)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license)
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
• 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director

Additional Information:

This is a travel nursing assignment. Former employees are eligible after being away from the facility for 6 months or more. Current employees are not eligible. Parking permits are available at various monthly and annual rates. Strict compliance deadlines apply, with all credentialing requirements due the Tuesday prior to start date.
