Location: Denton, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 48-hour weekly contract

Highlights:

• 25-bed Trauma Stepdown unit within a Level 2 trauma center serving a high-acuity patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:4 (maximum 1:5 for stepdown patients) with strong team support including charge nurse, RNs, techs, and unit secretary
• Diverse case mix including trauma surgery, orthopedics, bariatric, vascular, neuro/spine, cardiac, and general surgery patients
• EMR system: Meditech
• No on-call requirement; float only to other stepdown service lines (Progressive Care Unit/Heart and Vascular Unit)
• Collaborative team environment with experienced staff and modern trauma care protocols

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Trauma and/or orthopedic experience preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
