Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Unit – Texas

Start Date: November 5, 2026

Location: Irving, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:00 AM. No on-call requirements. 11-bed progressive care unit with telemetry capabilities.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit with 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio (may flex to 5:1 with tech support)
• Telemetry monitoring with critical cardiac drip experience preferred
• EMR system: Meditech
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 3 bedside nurses with tech support when at capacity
• Bedside vital signs equipment in every patient room
• Potential to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit setting
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills required
• PCU level of care or higher experience (Medical-Surgical only experience does not meet requirements)
• Experience with critical cardiac drips preferred
• Hematoma management and post-sheath removal experience a plus
• Familiarity with procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis
