Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Rotating weekdays and weekends with holiday rotation. Float within hospital system as needed. 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Highlights:

• Progressive care environment specializing in cardiac patients with a diverse case mix including chronic ventilated patients and post-lung transplant care
• Epic charting system; Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• 13-week travel assignment with orientation provided; first-time travelers accepted
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Expected to manage complex skills including ventilator care, cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, central lines, and advanced airway management
• Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week period; pre-approved time off available

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, step-down, or intermediate care nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references: at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership role
• Ability to complete Ohio state fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
