Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; every other weekend required; includes Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday

Highlights:

• High-acuity surgical step-down unit with 3:1 to 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Fast-paced environment ideal for clinicians with ICU or critical care backgrounds
• Complex patient population requiring management of chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, tracheostomies, wound vacs, and various drainage systems
• Exposure to critical drips and IV infusions including heparin, insulin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and cardizem
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• Opportunity to utilize advanced clinical skills in a dynamic surgical setting

Requirements:

• Active Michigan RN license or compact state licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ICU or critical care experience highly desirable
• Proficiency with advanced medical devices including chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC/central lines, ostomies, tracheostomies, NG tubes, and wound vacs
• Experience administering critical drips such as heparin, insulin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and cardizem
• Epic EMR experience preferred
