Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 1845-0715. Both 36-hour and 48-hour weekly contracts accepted. Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks available. Every other weekend required. Holiday coverage required. Call coverage as needed. Float required as needed within skillset to like units, including inpatient boarding in the ED.

• Adult and geriatric patient population with general medical-surgical diagnoses; daily census approximately 43 patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with 24 hours of comprehensive unit orientation
• Experience with heparin drips, high flow oxygen, and occasional short-term BiPAP with respiratory support
• Electronic charting systems include EPIC and PYXIS; SBAR and BSSR communication protocols utilized
• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
• Required attendance at monthly unit team meetings with dedicated sessions for night shift staff

• Active RN license (North Carolina state license or Compact license accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience required
• CPI certification preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred for night shift positions
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to work holidays and participate in storm/hurricane team assignments during catastrophic events
