Schedule: Every other weekend required; no call

Highlights:

• Specialize in post-operative open-heart care with focus on cardiac monitoring and advanced hemodynamic support
• Manage chest tubes, pericardial pacing wires, temporary pacers, and various drain systems
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
• Work with non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and advanced respiratory support systems
• Utilize skills in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips with opportunity to respond to dynamic patient conditions
• Float to all units within skill level to expand clinical expertise

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Post-operative open-heart care experience required
• Critical care experience highly preferred
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact Multi-State RN License
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Current skills checklist (within 1 year) pertinent to Progressive Care Unit
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and recognition of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
• Experience with chest tube removal assistance, pericardial pacing wire removal, and temporary pacer management
