Schedule: 12-hour shifts; patient ratio 1:5-6 (up to 1:6 on weekends); typically every other weekend; floating within scope as needed; rare call with 2-hour response time

Highlights:

• 32-bed overflow IMCU caring for adult to geriatric patient populations with diverse diagnoses including cardiac, renal, pulmonary, post-surgical, and arrhythmia management
• Must have hands-on experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), anticoagulants (Heparin, Argatroban, Aggrastat), diuretics, and insulin drips
• Epic charting system preferred; facility also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols
• Contract includes post-cardiac catheterization care, TR Band management, cardioversion, arrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry monitoring
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams available 24/7
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; holiday coverage required based on assignment dates

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or step-down nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required – first-time travelers will not be considered
• Demonstrated competency managing cardiac drips, anticoagulants, insulin drips, and diuretics (mandatory – non-negotiable)
• Experience with patient ratios up to 1:6 and telemetry competency
• Proficiency in arrhythmia interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, post-PCI care, and all medical-surgical nursing skills
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date to avoid orientation delays
