Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med/Surg & OB) – South Dakota

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Chamberlain, South Dakota

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts with flexibility for day or night preference. Every other weekend and holiday required. 3 call shifts per 13-week contract.

Highlights:

• Float between Med/Surg and OB units, providing diverse clinical experience in a 25-bed acute care setting
• Med/Surg nurse-to-patient ratio typically 3–4:1, depending on census and acuity
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive training provided (1 day OB, 1 day Med/Surg, plus EPIC orientation)
• Equipment includes Sanford One Charge and Pyxis medication systems
• 13-week contract with cancellation allowance up to 12 hours per contract period
• Opportunity to work independently in a dynamic, multi-specialty environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• 6 months Med/Surg experience within the past year
• 6 months OB experience within the past year
• BLS certification required before start
• ACLS certification required before start
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• TNCC preferred
• Ability to manage up to 5 patients independently in Med/Surg setting
• Note: Clinicians with previous employment history at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
