# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 9, 2026

Location: Franklin, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling designed to meet departmental needs; no block scheduling

Highlights:

• 101-bed Emergency Department with diverse patient populations and high acuity
• Typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical cases; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Comprehensive support staff including techs, unit clerks on all shifts, and cardiac monitoring specialists
• Cerner documentation system with Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment
• Floating within ED sections only; exposure to all areas of emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and internal processing
• Community serves a multicultural population with over 120 languages represented

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in Emergency Department setting
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
• Experience in high-volume Emergency Departments (100,000+ annual visits) strongly preferred
• Ability to provide coaching and real-time feedback to team members
