Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit / Telemetry – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 1830 - 0700. Weekend rotation, every other holiday. Standby call as needed. 4x12 schedule available for candidates willing to work additional weekends.

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity unit caring for PCU, Medical/Surgical, and Telemetry patients with occasional ICU-level patients
• 23-bed unit with daily census of approximately 10 patients; ratios vary based on patient acuity (3-6 patients typical)
• Cerner charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• 24 hours of orientation provided; charge experience preferred
• Patient population includes cardiac/respiratory diagnoses, orthopedic cases, and general surgery patients across adult and geriatric age groups
• Free onsite parking available

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care Unit settings within the last 3 years
• First-time travelers must have at least 3 years of experience in a hybrid/mixed acuity unit
• Must successfully pass a telemetry competency exam prior to assignment start with strict passing criteria (80% minimum score, 100% accuracy on lethal rhythms)
• Experience with ventilated patients, cardiac telemetry, vasoactive drip titration, and central line management preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Willingness to float as needed
