Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit / Medical-Surgical / Telemetry – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (1830 - 0700). Every other weekend rotation, every other holiday. Standby call as needed. 4x12 schedules available for candidates willing to work additional weekends.

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity unit caring for progressive care, medical-surgical, telemetry, and occasional ICU patients
• 23-bed unit with approximately 10 daily census; patient ratios vary based on acuity level
• Cerner charting system with required 95% barcode scanning compliance
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and unit secretary support
• 24 hours of orientation provided; free onsite parking available
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with cardiac/respiratory, orthopedic, and general surgery diagnoses

Requirements:

• Current Wisconsin RN license (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in medical-surgical and progressive care unit settings required
• First-time travelers must have at least 3 years of experience in a hybrid/blended unit
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills; must pass pre-assignment telemetry exam with strict passing criteria
• Experience with ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, vasoactive and cardiac drips, and high-acuity patient care
• Charge experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
