# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** November 2, 2026 **Location:** Lewisville, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 36 hours per week; 12-hour shifts; 2 weekend shifts every pay period required; patient ratio 1:4, maximum 1:5**Highlights:** - 46-bed Progressive Care Unit with average census of 34 patients providing critical intermediate care- Manage complex patients requiring titratable drips including Heparin, Cardizem, and Cardene- Work with advanced equipment including IV pumps, Sara Stedy lifts, and remote telemetry monitoring- Collaborative team environment with dedicated charge nurses, nursing staff, patient care technicians, and unit secretaries- EMR system: Meditech- May float to Inpatient Holds in ED or Med/Surg departments as needed**Requirements:** - Active and unencumbered nursing license- PCU experience required; one or more years strongly preferred- ACLS certification required- NIH Stroke Scale certification required- Proficiency managing titratable drips and monitoring complex cardiac and respiratory patients- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred- Strong teamwork and communication skills**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the opportunity to work in a well-established Progressive Care Unit where you'll care for medically complex patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention.
