Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania

Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts per week with weekend coverage and on-call requirements as needed based on department needs

• Level I Trauma Center with 24 main operating rooms including a designated trauma OR adjacent to the trauma bay
• 2 hybrid operating rooms dedicated to endovascular and structural heart procedures
• Comprehensive service lines including General, Robotics, Trauma, Bariatric, Colorectal, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, Pediatrics, Neuro, Orthopedics, Burns, Plastics, ENT, Dental/Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Thoracic, Vascular, and Transplant
• Diverse patient population ranging from neonatal to geriatric across all age groups
• Epic charting system with 12 hours of orientation provided
• Teaching hospital environment with exposure to complex and varied surgical cases

• Valid Pennsylvania RN license
• BLS and NIH certifications required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Level I Trauma Operating Room experience required
• 4 years of Operating Room experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Must be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating roles across multiple surgical specialties
• Strong General OR and trauma experience including amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, and multiple-injury MVA cases
• Robotic surgical experience required; vascular and endovascular procedure experience strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment, infection control protocols, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, Universal Protocol/time-out procedures, and urinary catheterization
• Demonstrated competency in General Surgery procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, mastectomy, and thyroidectomy
• Neuro experience including cervical fusion, craniotomy, and laminectomy/discectomy
• Orthopedic experience including Ortho/Spine cases and scrubbing orthopedic procedures
• Ability to work across all patient age groups from neonates through geriatrics
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
