Operating Room RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,440–$2,570
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel Registered Nurse contract
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• End Date: February 13, 2027
• Schedule: 40 hours per week; 10-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: Approximately 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Healthcare Setting: On-site operating room and perioperative services
• Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work two of the three major holidays during the assignment
• Floating: May float within the operating room and, as needed, to nearby surgical settings

Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or a valid Compact RN license at the time of submission
• At least 2 years of recent acute-care operating room nursing experience
• Experience circulating across multiple surgical specialties; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Cerner or comparable electronic medical record experience preferred
• Strong adaptability, initiative, and the ability to integrate quickly with an established perioperative nursing team

Perioperative RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care throughout the perioperative experience
• Circulate surgical cases across specialties including orthopedic, urology, vascular, general, trauma, ENT, OB/GYN, plastics, podiatry, GI, orthopedic spine, neurological, thoracic, and robotic surgery
• Prepare operating rooms, verify equipment and supplies, and support surgical team readiness
• Maintain sterile technique and uphold patient safety, infection prevention, and surgical standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and fellow operating room nurses
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively during patient handoffs
• Adapt to changing case assignments and support coverage across the operating room as needed
