Opportunity:

CERT NBSTSA OR Tech

Job Details:

• Evening shift from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts
• On-call required with weekday call of 16 hours every 4 weeks and weekend call of 24 hours every 4 weeks
• Weekend shifts required in lieu of weekday shifts based on department needs
• Standby shifts structured in 4-hour or 8-hour blocks on weeknights and 12-hour standby shifts on weekends
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• No floating between units
• 48-hour shifts not approved
• Block schedules not required
• Must be certified as a surgical technologist or military trained
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year required
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment including Intuitive Surgical Systems XI & SI
• Experience with Da Vinci Robotics and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System required
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Any color
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Compact license must be in hand at submission
• Work in an Adult Acute Care Operating Room with all adult specialties focusing on advanced oncology surgical cases
• Specialties include Bariatrics, Ortho, Podiatry, Neuro, ENT, OMFS, GYN, General, Colorectal, Urology, Hepatobiliary, Plastics, Eye, Vascular, Thoracic, Organ Harvest, and Endovascular
• Preferred experience with Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, and Adolescents
• Key skills include but are not limited to: Aseptic Technique, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Total hip and knee replacement, Spinal Fusion, Craniotomy, Endovascular Aortic Repair, TAVR, Whipple, VATS, and endovascular and hybrid room experience

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility operates a 21-room Adult Acute Care Operating Room with a daily census of 418 staffed beds. The facility specializes in advanced oncology surgical cases and supports a wide range of adult surgical specialties. The organization utilizes Epic for charting and provides scrubs for OR and L&D staff, maintaining a modern and well-equipped surgical environment to support comprehensive patient care.
