Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips - failure of exam will result in contract termination
• Care for patient population including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and open heart surgery patients downgraded from ICU
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• May float to Intensive Care Units for telemetry/medically appropriate assignments, medical surgical units, and other facilities within the organization up to competency level
• Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Facility reserves the right to call off without penalty for low census up to 48 hours per 13-week contract, which may include full or partial shifts

The facility operates as a fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius and functions as a Level II Trauma Center with stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds. The facility offers a comprehensive range of services including primary care, heart care, OB/GYN, rehabilitation services, surgical services, imaging, lab services, and nuclear medicine, all within a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.
