Position Overview

NuWest is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist to join a rehabilitation services team in Livingston, Montana. You’ll provide safe, ethical, evidence-based care to patients of all ages. Depending on the assignment, you may work in outpatient, inpatient, subacute/swing-bed, home health, or pediatric settings. Your primary setting and any cross-coverage will be confirmed before you start.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, develop individualized plans of care, deliver physical therapy treatment, and assess progress.
• Complete evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, updated plans of care, and discharge summaries accurately and within two business days of treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals on patient care and changes in patient status.
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and PT/PTA students as assigned, in line with applicable practice requirements.
• Provide additional services as assigned, such as VO₂ max testing, pediatric screenings, and athletic wellness screenings.
• Participate in required competencies, department meetings, and performance and process improvement activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean patient care environment and follow all policies and professional standards.

Required Qualifications

• Current or eligible-for-licensure Physical Therapist license in Montana, in good standing with the state licensing board.

• Current CPR certification.
• Valid Montana driver’s license in good standing.
• Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screening.
