• End Date: February 1, 2027
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 12 hours
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
• Float Requirement: May be required to float within equivalent or lower-acuity units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU, ICU, or high-acuity critical care experience required; 2 years preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Strong critical care background with comfort managing complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic patients
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Ability to complete compliance and fingerprinting requirements promptly

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for adult CVICU patients with conditions such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, ECMO, VAD support, and aortic repairs
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, hemodynamic instability, and complex cardiac drips in a critical care environment
• Perform and maintain IV access, arterial lines, central line care, and Swan Ganz monitoring
• Support procedures and interventions including chest tube management, sedation monitoring, and temporary pacing support
• Interpret dysrhythmias, ABGs, and 12-lead EKGs while responding quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Float within the organization as needed while maintaining excellent clinical standards
• Adapt to a busy cardiovascular ICU with rotating holidays, weekend coverage, and a strong focus on teamwork
