Cardiac Cath Lab Travel RN Job Details

Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Nebraska
• At least 1 year of professional RN experience; cardiac catheterization or procedural nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to work four 10-hour day shifts and fulfill the full 40-hour weekly schedule
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills

Cardiac Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
• Complete patient assessments, verify clinical information, and prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, hemodynamic status, and patient response throughout procedures and recovery
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols
• Maintain procedural safety, infection prevention, and accurate nursing documentation in Epic
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to urgent or emergent situations
• Collaborate with cardiologists, procedural staff, and the broader interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide patient and family education related to procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
