Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Job Summary

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience in respiratory and neuro diagnostics. This role requires working every other weekend and involves floating between multiple hospital campuses.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
• Minimum 1.5 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Prior Travel Experience

• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
• Background checks including 7 years of residence/work history, SSN trace, county/state/national checks, and education verification
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Physical exam within 12 months of start date
• Fit mask test within 12 months (specific approved respirators required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • TB test within 1 year
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap preferred but not required
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Color blind exam (Ishihara or equivalent) with minimum score of 100%
• References: Minimum 2 references from recent employment with appropriate supervisory titles
• Skills checklist and competency exams as required

Orientation & Training

• Completion of mandatory facility-specific modules prior to orientation (22 required modules covering safety, compliance, infection prevention, HIPAA, mechanical ventilation, etc.)
• Unit competency exam and medication/pharmacology competency exam required

Notes

• Indiana RN license holders will not be allowed to work at these facilities effective 11/30/24, except for perioperative, ambulatory, and allied travelers.
• On-site fit testing is limited and must be approved if required.
• Candidates must provide written confirmation of comfort with every other weekend shift requirement before submission.
