Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Celina, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Day shift: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• On-call required: 21-28 days in a 6-week cycle based on department needs
• Local travel radius within 90 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with recent experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Certifications & Competencies (as applicable)

• NIH Stroke Certification (valid for 2 years; may be obtained within 30 days of hire onsite)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, TNCC, EFM) but are not specified for this Cath Lab role

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid government-issued photo ID or passport (name must match all documentation)
• E-Verify or attestation required
• Background checks within 30 days of start, including:

  • 7-year county criminal background search for all locations lived/worked
  • Sex offender search
  • State police investigation for behavioral health (if applicable)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation, updated annually (can be done prior to start)
• Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months of start; annual updates required
• Annual TB questionnaire if previously positive; chest X-ray required within 12 months for positive responders
• Immunization or positive titer documentation required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccine series and positive titer or signed facility-specific declination form)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for all travelers)
• Drug screening: 10-panel test within 30 days of start (rapid screens not accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background)
• Completion of facility-specific forms prior to start, including job description acknowledgment and security forms
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific vaccination exemption forms if applicable
