Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Assignment
Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evenings (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (minimum three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends)
Unit & Work Environment
- Acute care hospital with 266 beds, offering 24/7 Emergency Services including Pediatric ER, Senior Care ER, and Express Care ER.
- Respiratory department consists of 30 therapists with varying experience levels.
- Respiratory therapists rotate through all inpatient floors and two 10-bed ICUs.
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration with daily nursing unit rounding.
- Use of advanced respiratory equipment including Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, and Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers.
- Documentation system: Meditech.
- Floating policy: Rotation throughout all inpatient units.
- Patient care approach includes use of AIDET for patient experience.
- Required dress code: Scrubs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NRP
- NBRC
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- ICU experience
- ER (Emergency Room) experience
- Critical adult care experience with weekend rotations
