Description

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evenings (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (minimum three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends)


Unit & Work Environment

  • Acute care hospital with 266 beds, offering 24/7 Emergency Services including Pediatric ER, Senior Care ER, and Express Care ER.
  • Respiratory department consists of 30 therapists with varying experience levels.
  • Respiratory therapists rotate through all inpatient floors and two 10-bed ICUs.
  • Interdisciplinary team collaboration with daily nursing unit rounding.
  • Use of advanced respiratory equipment including Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, and Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers.
  • Documentation system: Meditech.
  • Floating policy: Rotation throughout all inpatient units.
  • Patient care approach includes use of AIDET for patient experience.
  • Required dress code: Scrubs.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NRP
  • NBRC
  • Experience working with Adult patients
  • Experience working with Neonate patients
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • ICU experience
  • ER (Emergency Room) experience
  • Critical adult care experience with weekend rotations
